Cécile Thévenet

Originally from near the medieval town of Poitiers, France, Cécile now lives on the Beara peninsula. In 2002, she went on to receive a Masters degree in Art and Architectural History, and then in 2003 and 2004, two postgraduate certificates following her Master’s degree, one in Middle Age Civilisation and one in Heritage.

In 2005, she moved to Ireland and works professionally as an Architectural Surveyor compiling surveys for the (NIAH) National Inventory of Architectural Heritage. Her field - work has taken her on many roads and bye-ways of Irish counties including Wexford, Galway, Donegal and Cork. Through these travels her love of the unique Irish Landscape has grown and continues to grow. Part of her work entails photographic recording of unique architectural structures and details and as a result she has developed a keen photographers eye.

This collection of Irish landscape images are of the Beara peninsula, her adopted home. The images are atmospheric, sensitive and capture the unique beauty of this region. Each one is a unique moment captured in time through Cécile’s lens. They have not been enhanced or modified by any computer programs.

Each limited edition is of highest quality using Giclee printing on archival paper. Finally, Cécile numbers titles and signs individually each print by hand.
